Successful launch of European Customer & Learning Center

Center helps identify new ways to improve operational and energy efficiency in buildings

Johnson Controls Building Efficiency Europe celebrated the Grand Opening of its European Customer & Learning Center in Aarhus, Denmark, with an industrial customer symposium on June 24 and a press event on June 25.  

Bruno Nicolas, VP and GM of Johnson Controls Building Efficiency Europe & Africa, officially inaugurated the customer center together with Jacob Bundsgaard, Mayor of the City of Aarhus, who demonstrated the support of his city acknowledging common goals for a CO2 neutral future. Keynote speaker Joseph Paris, an international management consultant, kicked of the customer event, inspiring attendees on how operational excellence can drive profit.

Customers were able to follow various breakout sessions on themes such as JCI's new and innovative solutions for industry processes to build sustainable plant performance; F-Gas regulations and natural refrigerants; Economic incentives for energy efficiency investments and Waste Heat Recovery solutions. Customers had the opportunity to visit the Sabroe factory and have in-depth discussions with specialists at the different booths in the customer center. The symposium concluded with a case study about Lego, that uses water as refrigerant for its cooling system. The event ended with a rooftop dinner in the Aarhus Museum, where the guests enjoyed a nice dinner with a panoramic view on the city landscape.
